Giving Back Is Our Chance to Show CSC We Care
Collin Bray '06 has committed himself to Colby-Sawyer since first walking on campus in 2002. Following in his grandmother's footsteps (Jean Morley Lovett '45), Bray came to CSC to further his education. Four years later he left with amazing friendships, wonderful memories, and a strong desire to continue to give back to his alma mater.
As well as currently serving on the Board of Trustees, Bray has also included Colby-Sawyer in his estate plan. He said, "Giving back to CSC is important. Close your eyes, look back into the past, and remember your time on campus. Which professor, coach, employee had an impact on your life? If they were a mentor to you as a student, they cared. Giving back is our chance as alumni to do the same and show CSC we care."
Bray believes setting an example is important. He said, "It is essential that everyone creates an estate plan. An estate plan is a symbol to show you care about life being in order even when you can't control it. To me, planned giving means 'CSC, you have my word.' My philosophy on life is you get back what you give. I want my family to be proud. If that happens, my heart is full."
