Nick Ciarlante ’14 has given so much to the college, both as a student and an alumnus. And if all of that is not enough, Nick has recently become the youngest alum to include Colby-Sawyer in estate planning.
While pursuing his bachelor of science degree in business administration and a minor in political studies, Nick dedicated much of his free time to the school by being very involved in many areas of campus life. Nick served as a senator then three terms as president of the Student Government Association, vice president and then three terms as president of the Class of 2014, and vice president of Enactus (formerly SIFE). He was also a student ambassador in the Admissions Department, enrollment management intern, communications specialist for Campus Safety, and an orientation leader.
As an alum, Nick continues to spend much of his time being a full-time advocate for the college. Nick was asked to join the Board of Trustees at the start of the Fiscal Year 2019. He serves as one of the two Winton Black Trustees, which are reserved for alumni three to nine years after graduating. Nick says, “One of my favorite things about serving on the board is that I get to work with such a talented group of people who all deeply care about CSC. In addition, I enjoy serving on the board because it’s just one of the ways that I can give back to the college.
“My decision to include CSC in my estate planning was an easy decision,” Nick continues. “My four years at Colby-Sawyer prepared me not only for graduate school, but for both my professional and social life. By including Colby-Sawyer in my estate planning, I am ensuring that the future generation of students have the same experience, if not better, as me.”
